The 6th Annual GODSA Wheelchair Basketball Tournament was such a fun time for us again this year.
About the 6th Annual GODSA Wheelchair Basketball Tournament
Each year, GODSA holds an annual tournament, which raises funds to support athletes with physical disabilities.
This is the 4th consecutive year that 180 Medical has attended and supported the event. Once again, 180 Medical had a team of employees that played against GODSA’s children’s basketball team on the court. Plus, we always have plenty of employees and their families and friends who show up to cheer and give support.
Everyone always has a blast, and this year was no different! We showed up and cheered for the teams, including The Blaze, a team comprised of young athletes in wheelchairs. As usual, the Blaze beat us soundly during the game vs. 180 Medical. They’re an amazing group of kids and teens who really have skills on the court!
In addition, a team of doctors, physician’s assistants, nurses, and other staff from OU Physicians always play in the event. OU Physicians, which is part of the University of Oklahoma’s Health Sciences Center and Hospitals, provides comprehensive patient care, research, and training.
It was a great time. Already, we can’t wait for next year’s tournament!
