180 Medical Announces 2017 Scholarship Recipients
When 180 Medical’s founder, Todd Brown, created the scholarship program, he hoped to help students offset the costs of higher education in order to achieve their dreams despite the financial burden that their health conditions might create for them.
This program provides seven college students with $1,000 scholarship awards to help them finance their education.
Each student chosen must be a full-time student under a doctor’s care for a spinal cord injury, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, or an ostomy (ileostomy, urostomy, or colostomy).
This year’s finalists have very different backgrounds. Plus, their career goals range from graphic designer to medical doctor. However, one thing they all have in common is a desire to touch others’ lives.
