It’s October, which means we’re shining a spotlight on Spina Bifida Awareness Month. This time is impactful when raising awareness about spina bifida. Plus, we’ll share more about some of the great spina bifida resources on our website and our blog that we have available to individuals and families impacted by this condition.
Spotlight on Spina Bifida
Currently, over 166,000 Americans are living with spina bifida, which is the most common congenital development disorder in the United States. Spina bifida occurs when the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) does not form normally in the womb.
Spina Bifida Education Days
180 Medical is proud to be a sponsor of the Spina Bifida Association’s Education Days in 2013. Education Days are both affordable as well as life-changing events for individuals and families impacted by spina bifida. Each event offers a sense of community, support, and the latest information from professionals.
We’re excited to tell you that Jason, our regional territory manager, will be in attendance at the Utah event on October 5, 2013. Be sure to come by and meet him. The event is at the Primary Children’s Medical Center at Salt Lake City, UT.
Spread Awareness This Month
In addition, we’d love for you to join us and the Spina Bifida Association (SBA) in spreading awareness this October! You can also help support the SBA by participating in one of their many local Walk-N-Roll© events throughout the year.
