180 Medical employees kicked off the summer by teaming up to participate in the 2012 Corporate Challenge, hosted by OU Medicine.
OU Medicine Corporate Challenge is a three-day event that brings companies of all sizes from the Oklahoma City metro area together to compete in a variety of sporting events all in order to raise money for one very important cause: the UCO Endeavor Games.
The UCO Endeavor Games event was created to meet the need for sporting events for athletes with physical disabilities. Originating in 2000, the event is held at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. The event has grown over the years, welcoming athletes from more than 33 states and a few other countries and hosting 12 different sporting events.
This year’s Corporate Challenge event raised a total of $54,000 for the Endeavor Games!
180 Medical did their part in fundraising by selling 180 Medical Corporate Challenge t-shirts and by having a pretty awesome bake sale.
We started Corporate Challenge weekend on Friday, June 1st, with a company picnic at the Challenge while events like the executive relay, shuttle relay, kids fitness challenge, and women’s basketball took place.
Employees brought their families to help cheer them on and enjoy some great food!
Events continued throughout the weekend with some favorites including volleyball, tug of war, home run derby, and track events.
We all had an amazing weekend hanging out with fellow employees, showing off our competitive spirit and athletic abilities. Best of all, we supported an event that we hold dear
to our hearts. We can’t wait until next year!
